Shansi House is owned by Oberlin Shansi, an independent, nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that promotes understanding and communication between Asians and Americans through individual, group educational programs and community projects. It is one of the oldest dwellings in town, dating back to 1837, and has undergone extensive renovations over the years.
