Why Women Should Run For Office, and Why You Should Vote For Them

"Why Women Should Run For Office, and Why You Should Vote For Them" will be presented by Ruth Hardy '92, executive director of Emerge Vermont, which recruits, trains, and inspires women to run for public office.

She has spent her career working to support effective public policy, financially stable organizations, and opportunities for women and children. Hardy currently serves on her local school board, and has worked with Planned Parenthood, Middlebury College, and the Wisconsin Legislature.

She is a graduate of the VT Leadership Institute and the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT-Austin.
