Monday, April 10, 2023 4:30pm to 6pm
About this Event
122 Elm Street, Oberlin, OH 44074
Join in on a lecture by Melissa Fleming ’86, the United Nations’ Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications, and learn how the UN is making a difference across the globe, and why Oberlin and the UN are natural partners in the fight against climate change, disinformation, inequality, and more.
As a TED speaker, author of A Hope More Powerful than the Sea, and host of the award-winning UN podcast, Awake at Night, Fleming has a wealth of experience and insights. She will share stories from her personal journey, which has taken her from New York, Geneva, and Vienna to emergency situations and refugee camps around the world. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to hear one of the world’s top communications officials!
This event is open to all Oberlin students, faculty, and staff with OCID, as well as invited guests.
