Trombonist Lee Allen has performed in the Los Angeles area for the past eight years with orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Santa Monica Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Riverside Symphony, Burbank Philharmonic, San Bernardino Symphony, Long Beach Opera, and Los Angeles Jewish Symphony. His primary teachers have included Terry Cravens, Dale Warren, Bill Watrous, and Per Brevig. He also is acting principal trombone with the Las Vegas Philharmonic.
During the 2008 season, he toured as a member of the Brian Culbertson Band, an award-winning smooth jazz ensemble, and was part of the band playing with Adele at the 2013 Academy Awards in Hollywood.
Allen was most recently the trombone instructor at the Colburn School for the Performing Arts in downtown Los Angeles.
