In cooperation with Ecolympics the Carbon Management Fund will be planting 100 sapplings as part of our initiative to generate carbon offsets for Oberlin College. This project is part of a larger plan to fulfill our commitment to Carbon Neutrality by 2025.
Working alongside Grounds Manager, Dennis Greive (a trained arborist) and other members of the grounds crew, you will learn the basics of planting trees as well as tips from experienced professionals.
We are seeking all who are interested, regardless of experience, for our two planting dates April 20th and April 27th, but there will be a cap to the number of volunteers. Please RSVP via email (to firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in planting trees and working with us to generate carbon offsets for Oberlin College!
Good things to bring with you: clothes that can get dirty, sturdy shoes for mud, a water bottle, a hat, raincoat (if its raining), and the willingness to do some hard work. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
See you there!
Again, please RSVP to Tani Colbert-Sangree at email@example.com, if you are interested as there is a limited amount of space. (i.e. number of shovels)
