Theater Lab Series: The Death of Midas

Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2:00pm

Kander Theater
67 North Main Street, Oberlin, Ohio 44074

Midas is ancient history, his gold mines are crumbling, and few even remember his name, but his legacy remains. How do people make sense of their polluted world? What will everyone choose to do with what is left? The Death of Midas is an adaptation; a retelling of The Purple Flower by Marita Bonner and the story of King Midas and his power to turn everything into gold. There is mythology, music, messiness, and play. We hope you join us for the world premiere!

Written by Owen Anderson, and directed by Graciela Fernandez.

This production contains: depictions of death, implied violence, flashing lights, and loud/sudden noises.

COVID-19 Safety: Out of respect for our performers and community, we ask that audience members wear masks.
