Oberlin College and Conservatory

The Big Parade Workshops

Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00am to 2:00pm

Firelands Association for the Visual Arts (FAVA), Also behind Student Health, 247 W. Lorain St.
39 South Main Street, Oberlin, OH 44074

Oberlin is home to the Big Parade huge parade that happens just for fun and ends with a block party in Tappan Square! Town and college come together the first  Saturday in May every year with art, music, dancing, costumes, bikes floats, and whatever you can dream of!

Always dream of building a huge dinosaur and parading it all over town? Or dressing up as a lobster and crawling down the street while people clap and cheer you on? Then you’re in the right place. You can even build your own float. It's  super fun and easy.

Open building hours are happening every Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Big Parade Space behind Student Health, and 7-9 PM in FAVA gallery, 39 S. Main St., as well as a bunch of other times in both spots throughout the week. Come with your ideas and questions and build something wild!
