The Veldt is a soul-infused shoegaze band formed in 1986 in Raleigh, North Carolina coming to The ‘Sco on October 10th with doors at 9:30. Show is free with OCID and tickets will be sold at the door. 

The main members of the band are Danny Chavis on guitar, Daniel Chavis on vocals, and guitarist-programmer Hayato Nakao. The Veldt is known for their classic shoegaze album Afrodisiac which is ranked in Pitchfork’s “The 50 best Shoegaze Albums of All Time” and have opened for acts such as The Pixies and Cocteau twins.
