Founded in 2010, the Thomas and Evon Cooper International Competition is dedicated to presenting an important international competitive opportunity to outstanding young musicians, alternating annually between piano and violin.

This year's piano competition will take place from July 20-24, 2025. Participants will compete in two rounds in Warner Concert Hall at Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

The top three finalists will compete on Thursday, July 24, for first, second, and third prizes in performance of complete concerti with The Cleveland Orchestra in Severance Hall in Cleveland, Ohio.
