Talk with Jean-Paul Gilbert ’17 on his OCREECAS Internship

Jean-Paul Gilbert ’17 just returned from a three-month internship in Sighnaghi, Georgia, through Oberlin’s Center for Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies (OCREECAS), where he worked for a natural vineyard committed to reviving rare Georgian varieties and lesser know terroir.

He'll speak on "Making Wine at Pheasant Tear's Winery, a Natural Vineyard in the Republic of Georgia." Jean-Paul will share his insights on life and the many opportunities in the region. He will also show a short documentary about the traditions of winemaking in Georgia as well as their feast and song culture.
