Winner of the 2016 John J. Winkler Prize,  Jessica Wright of the Department of Classics at the University of Southern California, will present her Winkler Prize-winning paper, "The Care of the Brain in Early Christianity."

Prof. Wright analyzes the understanding of the mind and of the physical brain in medical, philosophical, and religious texts from the early Christian period. 

The talk is free and open to the public.
