Allen Memorial Art Museum
87 North Main Street, Oberlin, OH 44074
Second-year student Cori Mazer will present a talk on Alexander Calder's small-scale sculpture Yellow Stalk from the 1950s. Talk starts at 2 pm, and last approximately 15 minutes.
Offered most Sundays during the academic year, these object talks are orientated specifically toward the casual visitor to the Allen Memorial Art Museum. Each talk focuses on one work in the collection or on view in a current exhibition, and lasts approximately 15 minutes plus questions. Conducted by an Oberlin College student docent, these talks are a fantastic opportunity to learn about new objects or revisit old ‘friends’ from the collection.
Fall semester talks begin on September 13 and run through December 6 (except October 18, October 25, and November 29).
