Since their formation in 2013, the Wasmuth Quartet – members Brendan Shea ’09, Jonathan Ong, Abigail Rojansky ’11, and Warren Hagerty – have won numerous accolades and awards, and have performed across the United States and in Europe. Within five months of their formation, they received 1st prize at the Kuttner String Quartet Competition in Bloomington, Indiana, and won the Silver Medal in the senior division of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. Most recently, the Wasmuth Quartet performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.; on National Public Radio (NPR-WFIU); and were named the string quartet in-residence at the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, Germany, where they performed and studied quartet literature with preeminent Haydn, Beethoven and Ligeti scholars such as Dr. Armin Raab, Dr. Emil Platen and Dr. Louise Duchesneau.
