The Guatemala Solidarity Project (GSP) is a small collaboration of activists residing in Guatemala and the United States who support Indigenous Guatemalan communities organizing to defend their culture, language, rivers, and forests from centuries of genocidal violence. In this talk, GSP members will discuss how Indigenous communities have successfully organized to defend their territories, the ties of U.S. militarism and extractive mega-projects, how GSP practices solidarity, and will include action items to engage with this information. This talk will take place March 6 at 5pm ET over zoom (meeting ID 886 4345 1525) hosted by Oberlin Students in Solidarity with Guatemala (OSSGUA).
