DESCRIPTION:Reverend Traci Blackmon\, a United Church of Christ pastor in F
 erguson\, Missouri\, and Rabbi Susan Talve\, a reform rabbi in St. Louis\,
  will share lessons in movement building\, solidarity\, and faith from the
  perspective of their ongoing commitments to local\, national\, and global
  freedom struggles.\n\nSarika Talve-Goodman will moderate the discussion. 
 She is a 2017-19 Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Jewish Studies and Comparat
 ive Literature at Oberlin College\, and faculty in residence at J-House.\n
 \nRev. Blackmon and Rabbi Talve have been working together on the front li
 nes of the anti-racist protest movement in Ferguson since it erupted in th
 e summer of 2014\, in the wake of the murder of Michael Brown.\n\nSince th
 en\, Ferguson has become a kind of ground zero for intersectional\, anti-r
 acist struggle nationally and around the world\, such as Black Lives Matte
 r. Clergy activists have played a key role in shaping strategies of resist
 ance as well as modeling the messy work of creating solidarities through d
 ifference.
