About this Event
65 South Main Street, Oberlin, OH 44074
Snack Bytes is a series of free workshops at the Oberlin Public Library tailored toward children ages 7-10 (for kids younger than 7, a parent/guardian must be present) intended to let kids explore rhythms and sounds. They will work with chef Tabatha Watson Brown, and teachers Asase Duru, and Michelle Li to create musical compositions incorporating different sounds made from interacting with food. The ingredients we will be working with include vegetable oil, oats, green pumpkin seeds, maple syrup, honey, vanilla extract, dried berries, oranges, apples, cinnamon, chocolate chips, lemonade, and/or sparkling water. The kids will be mixing ingredients to make granola and the organizers will assist in baking and handling hot surfaces/objects.
