Claiborne is a founder of the Simple Way, an intentional community in inner-city Philadelphia that is developing a Christian framework to participate in a solidarity economy. He has been on several Christian Peacemakers Team tours and has written extensively about evangelicalism, post-evangelicalism, and New Monasticism.
