"How do I actually present the material at hand in a way that is compelling to the audience?"
The primary focus of this workshop will be the actual practice of presenting. We will provide general tips and tricks for presenting well (e.g., body language, pacing/tempo, verbal ticks, etc.), as well as using scripts, outlines, or notecards.
You should leave this session with personalized feedback on your own presentation style and speaking tendencies, in time to practice over the course of the next week on your own and with your research mentor.
Features writing associate fellows Frances Purcell and Andrew MacPhail.
