Join Undergraduate Research for a special guest lecture by Dr. Amy Belfi, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychological Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Psychology at NYU and received her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Iowa. Her research in the Music Cognition and Aesthetics Lab examines how music influences our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

In this talk, Dr. Belfi will present several lines of research focusing on the relationships between music, emotion, and autobiographical memory.

This lecture is presented as part of the Roots & Wings Speaker Series, which brings esteemed, student-nominated interdisciplinary scientists across academia and industry to campus to discuss their research and to share their research journey. Roots & Wings seeks to help students learn about the varied paths to meaningful careers in STEM.
