The City of Oberlin and Goodwill Industries, Inc. of Lorain County are partnering in promoting Pride Day by collecting the following list of working and non-working electronic devices and accessories:

• Video Monitors, Flat Screen Monitors
• Computer Mice, Keyboards & Joysticks
• Printers, Plotters & Scanners
• Hard Drives & Tape Drives
• Computer Speakers, Diskette & CD Drives
• Data Terminals & Modems
• Servers & Network Hardware
• UPS Systems
• Cables & Circuit Boards
• All Cell Phones w/Battery & Charger
• Refillable Printer Cartridges
• Reference Manuals & Books
Don’t Regret It… Shred It! Identity sensitive papers: Tax returns, cancelled checks, pay stubs, financial papers, bank statements Bound materials such as tax instruction booklets, manuals and catalogs are not accepted but you can recycle them at one of the many green & yellow Abitibi bins located throughout Oberlin. This is a FREE service to all residents & businesses!
Scrap Metal Round Up... Items include: Aluminum: awnings, siding, gutters, ladders, signs; Brass: radiators, plumbing fixtures; Copper: pipes, wire & small motors Steel: doors, sinks, small engines, small appliances Auto & engine parts, rims, drums and rotors, Cast iron, Wrought iron, Fireplace grates, Hand tools, Outdoor Power Equipment – a list of additional items can be found at: http://www.cityofoberlin.com/PublicWorks/Refuse_Recycling.page Items NOT accepted: mattresses, paint, batteries, appliances containing refrigerants and garbage. Household hazardous materials including corrosives, flammables, reactives, toxics or infectious materials, fluorescent tubes and tires. These materials can be taken to the Lorain County Solid Waste District’s Collection Center in Elyria for proper disposal.
