The Department of Physics & Astronomy hosts guest speaker Kenneth Ghiron, Senior Biophysicist at Neuronetics. The topic of his presentation will be transcranial magnetic stimulation.

This lecture is free and open to the public, and will be presented as a Zoom webinar; please register in advance to receive login information.



Transcranial magnetic stimulation has been cleared as treatment for depression and other psychiatric illnesses. This talk will present how the stimulators are designed and used.  I will include my reflections on the challenges and rewards for bringing a new medical treatment to market with a start-up company.
