Painting & Poetry with Liv.E

Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:00pm to 1:00am

’Sco (Dionysus Club), Wilder Hall
135 West Lorain Street, Oberlin, OH 44074

The 'Sco will be hosting Liv.e, an artist whose music occupies uncharted territory at the intersection of R&B, jazz, and hip-hop. Blending the stylistic icons characteristic of each of these genres, she delivers smooth-hitting flows that roll and run and turn, immersively.

Through her music, Liv.e has conceived a unique artistic approach, rooted in the Afro-Diasporan traditions of lyrical, rhythmic, and spiritual engagement.

Born Hailee Williams in Dallas, Texas, Liv.e's music reflects both her Southern roots and the liberative nature of her creativity. Now living in California, Liv.e has established herself amongst a community of contemporary black poets, producers, visual artists, and cultural workers intent on translating and articulating the beautiful complexities of black embodiment for a larger audience of revolutionary black youth.

Recently, Liv.e's national tour with Earl Sweatshirt and Friends, and her feature on his most recent project, FEET OF CLAY, have provided her with a well-deserved platform to share her voice. Literally, she is legend. Pu fams #woot #woot
