Talk: Class H-Trilogy Author Raul Ramos y Sanchez

Join members of Professor Pablo Mitchell's class History 270, Latin@ History, and hear author Raul Ramos y Sanchez discuss his recent trilogy of novels addressing the lives of Latin@s in the United States. 


Raul Ramos y Sanchez was born in Cuba and grew up in Miami before becoming a long-time resident of the U.S. Midwest. After a successful career in advertising, Ramos developed a documentary for public television, Two Americas: The Legacy of our Hemisphere and also created, an online forum for the U.S. immigrant community. Ramos’s debut novel America Libre was released in 2009. The sequel, House Divided, appeared in 2011, and the third novel in the trilogy, Pancho Land, was released as a Kindle edition in 2012. Ramos’s fiction has received numerous awards and recognition, including Best Novel Award Winner from the International Latino Book Awards and LATINA Magazine "10 Hottest Summer Reads" Author.
