Oberlin Summer Theater Festival kicks off its 2018 season with three classic plays in rotating repetory; Little Women, Romeo and Juliet, and Picnic.
The festival opens June 22 with Little Women, a drama adapted by Marisha Chamberlain from the novel by Louisa May Alcott. It will be followed by the tragic Shakespeare love story, Romeo and Juliet, which opens July 6. The third show, William Inge’s bittersweet drama, Picnic, opens July 20.
Most shows are at 7 p.m, weekdays, with 2 p.m. matinees on Wednesdays and weekends. Performances are free but tickets are required. Some shows are designed for mature audiences.
The Oberlin Summer Theater Festival 2018 season is made possible by generous support from Oberlin College, City of Oberlin, Oberlin Business Partnership, Nord Family Foundation, Ohio Arts Council, and audience members.
