Choreographed and directed by Oberlin Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance and Africana studies Talise Campbell, alongside the fiery musical direction of Grammy-nominated percussionist Weedie Braimah, Tracing Our Roots is a thought-provoking theatrical dance work that will take you on an emotionally exciting and challenging journey all the while interlacing folkloric dance, explosive drumming, song, and poetry.
