For over a decade the Translation Symposium has been the intellectual and creative high point of the Oberlin academic year. It is a fast-paced, multilingual event that introduces and celebrates literary works from over a dozen languages. Student translators will read their translations and comment on the translation process.

The Translation Symposium is sponsored by comparative literature, classics, English, French and Italian, the Oberlin Center for Languages and Cultures, and the Allen Memorial Art Museum.
