The Oberlin Business Scholars program provides selected students from all majors with a foundation of skills, knowledge, and contacts to help them more successfully compete for jobs and internships in a wide range of business disciplines.

Through discussions, lectures, case studies, project assignments, and onsite visits with Oberlin alumni and friends of the College, Scholars interact with and learn from leaders in these fields, and from one another.

Beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, the program is expanding! It will start with a one-credit module course during the first half of spring semester, which will focus on team-building, public speaking, building a foundation of business principles and familiarity with business terminology.

Scholars will then travel during spring break to meet with alumni and other friends of the college who are involved in different aspects of business, ranging from finance and investment banking to social entrepreneurship, business law, and healthcare. Past cities have included Cleveland, New York, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco/Silicon Valley.
