The natsu matsuri, or summer festival, is an annual festival held by Japanese and Japanese-American communities during late summer. These festivals include Japanese festival games, food booths, and performances! Over the summer, those of us who are Japanese, Japanese American, and Asian American like to attend these festivals to connect with our cultures and our communities. While we are here at Oberlin during this unprecedented summer term, we want to bring this festival to the Oberlin community! This event is a collaboration among the Multicultural Resource Center, the Japanese Student Association, and Oberlin College Taiko, with support from Oberlin Shansi. Please join us for our natsu matsuri on Saturday, August 7!
