How deepening your awareness can help manage eating, stress and mood
Learn how mindfulness and acceptance practices can provide new ways to work with our responses to a wide range of concerns, from food and body image to stress and difficult feelings.
Facilitators will provide an introduction to concepts of mindfulness and acceptance practices and guide participants through brief exercises in mindful eating and mindful breathing, as well as providing on-campus and self-help resources for participants who want to explore mindfulness further.
Raisins and M&M’s provided for mindful eating.
Open to students and staff.
Facilitators are Matthew Hayden, assistant dean for health initiatives, and Debra El-Amin, psychologist in the Counseling Center at Oberlin College.
