McMaster Carr Supply Company will be on campus to interview students for the Management Development position. (30 minutes each)

9:00am – 10:30am
10:45am – 12:15pm
1:15pm – 2:45pm
3:00pm – 4:30pm

About the Position

Learning (2-3 months): Our management team knows our operations inside and out, so you'll start by learning about finance, marketing, product distribution, and customer relations. Every experience is different: write your own syllabus and let curiosity be your guide.

Innovating (4-6 months): We get things right 98 percent of the time, so it's up to you to find the 2 percent that we can improve. In this phase, you will serve as an internal consultant. You will become an expert on a business issue, provide high-quality analysis, and communicate your recommendations. You'll also own the implementation and the results. 

Managing: With demonstrated achievement, you will step into a leadership position within one of our departments. From this point on, you will divide your time between managing people and operations, while seeking opportunities for continuous process improvement. Each day, you will be challenged to develop your team, run a successful operation, and collaborate with your colleagues, while finding and solving problems on your own.
