Kathryn Miller, American politics job candidate, and a PhD candidate at the University of Oregon, wil present a lecture. Her dissertation, “Violence on the Periphery: Gender, Migration, and Gendered Violence Against Women in the US Context,” examines the role of U.S. governmental institutions in intimate partner violence (IPV) against immigrant women and women seeking asylum. Her research and interests specialize in women and politics, gender and sexuality, political identities, immigration and citizenship, and language politics.
