Journalism Symposium: Science Journalism, Global Health, and the Environment

Sonia Shah ’90 is an acclaimed journalist and author whose recent work has focused on the intersections of global health and human rights. In her lecture, Sonia will focus on her work as a science journalist and what she’s learned from reporting on the frontlines of epidemic outbreaks, deadly pharmaceutical drug trials, and international climate migration.

She will also discuss the arc of her career, beginning with her time as a student journalist at Oberlin, and how she came to write books about the most urgent environmental and scientific topics of our time.
