The Oberlin College Department of Studio Art presents a student and alumni exhibition in celebration of the retirement of Professor of Art, Sarah Schuster. Professor Schuster has taught painting at Oberlin College since 1988 and this exhibition honors her enormous contributions to the Oberlin community and beyond. This group show includes almost 100 alumni and current students, all of whom have taken at least one class with Professor Schuster and have sustained a visual arts practice through various mediums. Some participants have careers as artists and many work in other fields, but all of them consider creating artwork central to their lives and who they are. The closing reception and retirement party coincides with the first night of the Alumni Reunion and we invite you to see the work and join in the celebration.
