Alice Dunbar-Nelson (1875-1935) was  a writer of fiction and poetry, a journalist,  an educator, a founder of the Delaware NAACP, an anti-lynching and suffrage activist and more. She always persisted. Sandy Zagarell will talk about her life and work and about what recovering both means in the twenty-first century.
