The Apollo will be hosting a one-night-only screening of Gogol Wives' 2013 film Pussy v. Putin, a documentary of the Russian punk band/art collective Pussy Riot's activism and encounters with the police leading up to the imprisonment of three of their members in 2012. A discussion with Masha Gessen, a renowned Russian-American journalist and author of Words Will Break Cement: The Passion of Pussy Riot, will follow.
