Hebrew Heritage House (Johnson House)
216 South Professor Street, Oberlin, OH 44074
Featuring Visiting Assistant Professor Alice Blumenfeld’s company, Abrepasoflamenco, this traditional flamenco performance will feature Ladino music and share information on the Jewish influence in flamenco. Performers include Marija Temo (guitar and vocals), Alice Blumenfeld (dance), and Wendy Clinard (dance).
Abrepaso‘s mission is to use flamenco to: connect people in a way language cannot; inspire people to chase their goals fearlessly; encourage a presence of mind, body, and spirit; and spark creativity in all who engage with our work. We aim to create a deeper understanding appreciation for this Spanish music and dance form.
