This presentation is designed for instrumentalists, songwriters, and composers to enhance their compositional skills writing original music for film and gain experience writing for and working with a live ensemble.
Some topics touched upon will include:
Finding Themes (creative briefings, spotting, and temp music; finding ideas, inspiration and concept; orchestrating and arranging ideas)
Storytelling and Adapting Thematic Material (how to use thematic material to tell the story, adapting themes to picture in different styles/ genres)
Technical & Delivery (finalizing score delivery; working with a live ensemble; relevant software for film scoring)
