Danielle Steele, PhD, is visiting assistant professor, Department of Biological Sciences at Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville, and a science writer for The Urban Scientist scientific American blog.
She will present a science seminar: “African giant pouched rats as a new behavioral model: examination of natural history, reproductive biology, and individual behavioral differences.”
A reception in the Science Center's Love Lounge from 4:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., will precede the talk, which will begin at 4:45 p.m. in A254.
There will also be an informal chat and lunch with students at 12 p.m. in Wilder 208. Prof. Lee will discuss her career path in science research and science communications, as well as topics in diversity and activism in the sciences. This will be an informal discussion with students over lunch, which will be provided.
