https://www.facebook.com/events/2872700492758827/In Decade of Fire, directors Vivian Vazquez and Gretchen Hildebran explore the aftermath of a rash of fires that, during the 1970s, consumed New York's South Bronx, one of the most integrated neighborhoods in the country. Bronx-born Vazquez exposes the truth about the borough's sordid history of racial politics and governmental neglect while showing how multiethnic residents banded together to resist indifference and rebuild their community. In so doing, the directors offer hope to communities on the brink of destruction today.
The film runs 1 hour 16 minutes.
