Students are invited to a free injury prevention workshop on Zoom with physical therapist Dr. Michael Tsang, hosted by the Montclair Orchestra. The webinar will also feature members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Rochester Philharmonic.

Dr. Michael Tsang,  a conservatory-trained pianist and doctor of physical therapy, will answer your questions and offer some insight into how to prioritize your physical wellbeing for a long and pain-free performance career.

Special guests joining as panelists include Katherine Fong (violin, The Metropolitan Opera), Grace Browning (principal harp, Rochester Philharmonic), and Colin Williams (associate principal trombone, New York Philharmonic). Dealing with injuries is often a sidelined conversation in the industry. The panelists will talk about how to build awareness into your own practice, and share some of their own journeys to wellness.
