Concert: Kate Bollinger

Friday, September 2, 2022 at 8:00pm

Cat in the Cream Coffeehouse, Hales Annex
180 West Lorain Street, Oberlin, OH 44074

Singer-songwriter Kate Bollinger, based in Richmond, Virginia, started by releasing her self-recorded original songs online in 2013 and began to play local shows before the release of her first EP, Key West, in 2017. Bollinger states that some of her musical influences include the band of Montreal, Bonnie Rait, and Feist. You can hear that in her music, described as ghostly, reflective, nostalgic, vulnerable, and light. The melodies, chords, and her warm voice wrap around you gently as she asks, “Who am I but the one?” on her new EP, Look at It in the Light. Check out her music on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, and other streaming services.
