With Islamophobia on the rise, the members and director of the Central Javanese gamelan and the West Sumatran talempong ensembles offer our end-of-semester concert as an event in solidarity with the Muslim community. Engaged with learning and playing music from the Muslim-majority country of Indonesia, we renounce Islamophobia and offer our music instead in celebration of the cultural and musical practices of Islamic peoples from Indonesia.

We will collect donations to be given to an organization, which will be announced at the event, working to counter and end Islamophobia.
