Zoé Samudzi, writer and scholar, will give a talk "Conceptualizing Oppression: Umbrellas and Webs." She will be discussing racial capitalism as a driver of societal harm, one that simultaneously impacts both transgender folks' acess to and treatment by healthcare systems. This'll be a great opportunity for sociology folks, pre med folks, and anyone generally interested in these topics to participate in what's sure to be an insightful lecture.
