Oberlin Conservatory of Music presents a daylong festival, Celebrating Milt Hinton. The prolific jazz artist's 70-year career will be remembered with a special collections tour, the film Keeping Time: The Life, Music and Photographs of Milt Hinton, and an evening concert featuring classical to jazz performances by some of the most respected names in the bass world. 

On display will be Hinton's notable photographs documenting the golden age of American jazz, and Oberlin's exhibit of Hinton's artifacts and records.

DUE TO CONSTRUCTION, PLEASE ENTER THE CONSERVATORY THROUGH THE S. PROFESSOR STREET ENTRANCE ADJACENT TO THE CONSERVATORY POND. 

All events for the daylong festival are free and open to the public.

FILM - Keeping Time: The Life, Music and Photographs of Milt Hinton
This 60-minute film captures the compelling life story of legendary African American jazz bassist and photographer Milt Hinton (1910-2000). His lifelong passion to document his world musically and visually provides a unique portrait of life in 20th Century America.
