Celebrating Milt Hinton

Oberlin Conservatory of Music presents a daylong festival, CELEBRATING MILT HINTON on Thursday, June 12, from 2:30 to 11:00 p.m.

The prolific jazz artist's 70-year career will be remembered with a special collections tour, the film, Keeping Time: The Life, Music and Photographs of Milt Hinton, and an evening concert featuring classical to jazz performances by some of the most respected names in the bass world. 

On display will be Hinton's notable photographs documenting the golden age of American jazz, and Oberlin's new exhibit of Hinton's artifacts and records.

All events for the daylong festival are free and open to the public.
