This session, held in conjunction with the 10th anniversary celebration of the Comparative American Studies (CAS) program at Oberlin, will examine the history, current state, and future of American Studies, in and outside of Oberlin College.
The panelists include Professors Judy Wu (history, Ohio State University), Moon-Ho Jung (history, University of Washington), Wendy Kozol (CAS director, Oberlin), and Pablo Mitchell (history and CAS, Oberlin). Professor Harrod Suarez (English, Oberlin) and fourth-year CAS major Rachel Ishikawa will co-moderate the discussion.
A light dinner reception and book signing at the Third World House Lounge will follow the program.
