Come to the Cat in the Cream for an amazing show with Cameron Awkward-Rich!

Cameron Awkward-Rich is an assistant professor of Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before arriving at UMass, he was a postdoctoral associate in transgender studies with the Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies Program at Duke University.

Awkward-Rich’s work has appeared/is forthcoming in Signs, Science Fiction Studies, and American Studies Quarterly, and he is at work on a book on the politics and poetics of maladjustment in transgender literature and theory.

Also a poet, he is the author of Sympathetic Little Monster (Ricochet Editions, 2016) and Dispatch (Persea Books, 2019). His poetry has appeared in the  American Poetry Review, the Academy of American Poets Poem-a-Day series, Indiana Review, among others.

Workshop begins at 4:30 p.m.; performance at 8 p.m.
