All first-year and transfer students are required to attend a Bystander Intervention workshop, facilitated by student Preventing and Responding to Sexual Misconduc (PRSM) trainers. Bystander intervention is one of few evidence-based prevention practices that show promise for reducing sexual violence.

The workshop is part of the college’s commitment to a safe and inclusive learning environment and the prevention of all forms of sexual and or gender-based discrimination and harassment, including sexual violence, stalking, and intimate partner violence.
