 useum is an award-winning collection of over 10\,000 original artifacts of
  Black memorabilia dating from the trans-Atlantic slave trade era to hip-h
 op culture.\n\nAmong this unique collection are rare artifacts representin
 g categories including (but not limited to) slavery\, politics\, Jim Crow\
 , science\, religion\, education\, music\, sports\, and civil rights.  \n\
 nIn addition to the exhibit\, Dr. el-Hakim will conduct a 1-hour talk cent
 ered on the development of the Black History 101 Mobile Museum with a focu
 s on the current exhibit. Khalid will make present day connections with th
 e past by inviting the audience to engage in an honest dialogue about the 
 impact of racism and the struggle for social justice in America.\n\nDr. Kh
 alid el-Hakim is an educator and entrepreneur. Most recently Khalid was na
 med one of the 100 Men of Distinction (2017) by the highly respected busin
 ess magazine Black Enterprise. Previously\, Dr. el-Hakim taught social stu
 dies in Detroit for 15 years.
