The Black Families Appreciation Ceremony is an annual pre-commencement ceremony and dinner. This annual event allows self-identifying Black graduates and allies the opportunity to express words of gratitude in front of their community and receive their kente cloth stole. This event is for graduating students, their families and friends, faculty and staff, and community supporters. Dinner is served immediately following the ceremony at Afrikan Heritage House. All are welcome to participate.
